THIMPHU (CAPITAL CITY)

The largest and most tranquil town in Bhutan, Thimphu, has a welcoming vibe. Walking around the streets will help you get a sense of the Bhutanese way of life.

Since it was chosen as Bhutan’s permanent capital in the 1950s, Thimphu has expanded considerably over the past ten years, but it is still a tiny town that is dominated by the striking Tashichoe Dzong.

Buddha Dordenma
