PUNAKHA VALLEY
The current capital of Bhutan, Thimphu, is three hours distant from Punakha, which has a distinct climate from the other Dzongkhang. Punakha experiences milder winters and summers on average because of its lower height. The primary rice-producing district in the nation is Punakha.

Punakha Dzong
Another name for Punakha Dzong is the Palace of Great Happiness. Currently serving as Punakha District's administrative hub is the tastefully built palace. built in 1637.
Suspension Bridge
160–180 meters over the rapid Po Chhu River, this suspension bridge is the longest in Bhutan. Covered with prayer flags, bridge links Punakha town and Punakha Dzong.
Chimi Lakhang
The temple was constructed in 1499 in honor of Saint Drukpa Kunley, also referred to as the Divine Madman. Temple is also referred to as the fertility temple.
