Bhutan Hotels, Resorts, Guest Houses and Lodges for Tourist
All the tourist hotels, resorts, guest houses and lodges are selected and approved by the government of Bhutan. The quality of service and facilities may differ but usually tourists are kept in all the hotels, resorts, guest houses and lodges during peak season because of infrastructure and accommodation constraints in the country. There is no star categorization of hotels.
However, all the tourist hotels, resorts, guest houses and lodges in Bhutan are built with traditional Bhutanese architecture and provide fairly comfortable rooms. Hotels and lodges in western Bhutan, namely Paro, Thimphu, Punakha and Wangdue have better accommodation facilities than in central and eastern Bhutan. All hotels and lodges accept reservation on first come, first serve basis. The hotel accommodation charge is included in the tariff.
Luxury hotels are also available in Paro and Thimphu but you need to pay extra apart from package tariff. The cost of luxury hotels ranges from US$ 400 to 1500 per night, depending upon your choice and preference.
